Chicken Soup: A Healthy and Tasty Dish

Are you longing to have something delicious for your taste buds?  Don’t worry we are going to describe a lip-smacking dish known as Chicken Soup which is not only a mouth-watering dish but also healthy and energetic. It can easily be cooked at home.

According to Brigitte Grisanti, The main ingredients required are 1 whole chicken, breasts removed and reserved, 2 onions,  2 bay leaves, 2 large carrots, 1 celery stalk,  1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves, sea salt, ground pepper, 4 tablespoons olive oil and 2 quarts boiling water.

First, remove the breast meat and keep it aside. Heat the oil in a large pot and sauté the breasts until they turn to a light golden brown. Keep the sauteed chicken breasts aside and now sauté the onions and keep them aside also. Cut up the rest of the chicken into small pieces. Put the pieces into the pot and cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Now, on low heat, add the onion into the pot; wait until the chicken releases its juices. Add water, reserved chicken breasts, 2 teaspoons of sea salt and the bay leaves. Cover the pot to boil the ingredients until the chicken breasts are cooked. Now, remove the chicken breasts and strain the juice. Skim the fat from the broth.  Keep 2 tablespoons of skimmed fat for cooking the vegetables, add the reserved fat to the juice pot and sauté the remaining onions along with the carrots and celery for five minutes. When you feel the chicken breast is cold, remove and discard the skin and bones. Cut the breast meat into small pieces and add to the pot. Add the reserved juice and thyme at the time you find the vegetables tender. Decorate the dish with sea salt, pepper and parsley. Now your dish is ready to serve.
